Body scans are often done lying down (similar to savasana in yoga), so it may help to prepare for this meditation by setting up blankets or yoga mat on the floor, gathering pillows for under your knees or head, and/or a blanket if your space is chilly. You’re also welcome to sit on a chair or cushion if you prefer. This meditation focuses on observing the breath, the contact with the floor/chair/cushion, and different parts of the body. You’re always welcome to skip any instruction that doesn’t feel useful to you today.
